COLMAN Both Colman-Egan teams defeated Arlington teams in the first doubleheader of the season on Friday, December 13.
The boys wons 78-48 and the girls came out on top of the Cardinals, 55-43.
Boys
The Colman-Egan boys basketball team took care of business in their first game of the season on Friday night as the Hawks beat Arlington 78-48.
Jackson Zwart and Jase Mousel led the Hawks as they each had 18 points. Zwart also had eight boards.
Jack Mousel had 16 points, three assists and nine rebounds. Julian Allen had nine points and Caden Zwart had 11 rebounds and six points.
Colman-Egan plays at Dell Rapids St. Mary this Friday.
Girls
The Colman-Egan C-E Hawks walked away with a 55-43 win over the Arlington Cardinals on Friday.
Brynlee Landis was on fire for the Hawks as she hit 14 of 22 shots for 37 points. Senior Kaylee Voelker added eight points and three steals.
Landis also pulled down five rebounds and made four steals.
Colman-Egan is now 2-0 on the season.
Colman-Egan was to host Canistota on Tuesday and then travel to Dell Rapids St Mary on Thursday.
The Hawks host the Entringer Classic on Saturday and face rated Hamlin squad at 5 p.m.
