After early deadline for September 4 issue
The Colman-Egan Hawks gave the No. 5 team in Class 9B all they could handle but it wasnt enough in the end as the Canistota Hawks won the battle, 12-6.
Canistotas Brady Scott and Levi Schroeder each had a touchdown on the ground. Hayden Pearson found Jase Mousel for Colman-Egans touchdown.
Pearson was 6-of-15 for 84 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Mousel had four catches for 63 yards. Quarterback Pearson also had 17 carries for 34 yards on the ground.
Scott had 22 carries for 54 yards for Canistota. He was also 8-of-22 for 116 yards and three interceptions. Easton Miller had six catches for 101 yards. Schroeder had 12 carries for 49 yards.
Colman-Egan is now 0-2 and has a bye this week before playing at Dell Rapids St. Mary on Sept. 13.
