Flandreau Blue Teal couldnt keep up with Madison Dairy Queen Broncos and fell 14-3 on Thursday, May 23
Flandreau Blue Teal were the first to get on the board in the second when Ethan Hoffman doubled, scoring one run.
Madison Dairy Queen Broncos captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the second when Tyler Tappe homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Aspen Dahl singled, scoring one run.
The Broncos added one run in the third and scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Dahl earned the win for Madison. They surrendered three hits and three runs over six innings, striking out 15 and walking four.
Tash Lunday pitched three innings in relief for Flandreau Blue Teal. The reliever surrendered six hits and five runs while, striking out six and walking two. Brenden Gregory took the loss for Flandreau Blue Teal. They went two innings, surrendering four runs (three earned) on three hits, striking out three and walking three.
Hoffman, Mason Riley, and Lunday each collected one hit for the Blue Teal. Hoffman and Riley each drove in one run. Riley stole three bases.
The Broncos piled up 11 hits in the game.
