On May 21, 2024, the Colman Branch Library is hosting the Great Plains Watercolor Societys monthly paint-in at the Colman Community Center, main street, Colman. The event will take place from 3:00 pm – 4pm.
The public is welcome to stop in to visit with members and learn more about the Great Plains Watercolor Society. There will be a sign up sheet for those interested in taking future watercolor classes at the Colman Community Center.
Monthly meetings focus on the painters passion for continued learning. This month, Susan Brende, the Colman Librarian, will be instructing members on several background watercolor techniques.
The Society is based out of Sioux Falls; however, has members from all over southeast South Dakota. GPWS provides workshops, en plein air events and exhibits.
