Just in time for the cold and snow

Longtime local mail carrier Kim Welbig is all smiles and back to deliveries for the US Postal Service in the frigid early morning hours of January 20th. The sign behind her shows -9 on 2nd Avenue in downtown Flandreau. Welbig, who had been out for a couple of months with an ankle injury, returned to her role just in time for temperatures to be well below zero, even for daytime highs. This week is looking better as the temperature is forecasted to be in the 30s-a heat wave compared to recently.
