August has arrived, which means Moody County schools will be opening their doors soon.
Colman-Egan School District’s first day of school is Monday, Aug. 22, while school begins at Flandreau Public School on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
C-E will hold a K-12 Open House on Aug. 17 at 5 p.m. (back to school kickoff event). The event will include a mandatory student and parent meeting for incoming ninth grade students from 5-5:30 p.m. A fifth grade band meeting will be held at 6 p.m., as well as a music booster’s meeting at 7 p.m. See next week’s Enterprise for more information and important dates for the 2011-12 C-E school year.
Registration at Flandreau Public Schools will be held from Tuesday, Aug. 9 to Friday, Aug. 12. Registration is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. the first two days and from 8-4 on Thursday and Friday.
