A group of four Flandreau residents, who make up the BlueJays Prospectors dart team, won the World 501 Dart Championships in Las Vegas in late April.
Above back, Jim Pitsenberger and Team Captain Larry Pitsenberger along with Sue Pitsenberger and Stephanie Jungwirth whose normal rounds includes traveling to local dart leagues, took their show to Vegas in April to show off their talents to the world.
The event, which started on April 19th, concluded on the 27th with the crowning of the BlueJays Prospectors as the world dart champions over teams from all over the United States teams representing over 10 different countries. The team was awarded with a $1,300 prize, a sponsored plaque and individual trophies.
