Phase two in progress on hospital project

Crews work on the Phase 2 of the Avera Flandreau Hospital building project which consists of a new Outpatient Area and Emergency Department. The Outpatient Area will include an in-house CT scanner and bone-density scanner, private physical therapy treatment rooms, and three private outpatient rooms. The new Emergency Department will be comprised of two state-of-the-art trauma rooms, a visible and accessible entrance, and improved proximity to staff and hospital services. Things are moving smoothly and crews hope to have work completed by the early fall of 2013. They will then get to work on Phase 3 which will be the renovation of the hospital’s inpaitent areas.
