Child dies at Foxcroft Apartments

A 14-month old baby boy died in his home at Foxcroft Apartments in Flandreau last Friday morning the 25th of January.

The child was in the custody of his parents at the time of his death, they were questioned but not charged with any crimes.

Moody County Sheriff Troy Wellman does not believe the death to be suspicious. “It does not appear the infant’s death was due to any physical acts of abuse,” said Wellman.

An autopsy has been performed but no information has been released in regards to its findings.

The Sheriff’s office is working the case with the Flandreau Police Department and the DCI.
