The Dakota Valley Conference honored five Colman-Egan student-athletes as members of their All-Conference team.
Three football players were represented by the committee – seniors Riley Clark, Haiden Schmidt and Lane Berg were all awarded with the honor last week,
Clark led the Colman-Egan offense is most statistical categories. He had a team high 398 passing yards, led the team with 654 rushing yards and was part of a team high 10 touchdowns, nine rushing, one passing. Clark averaged over eight yards a carry during his senior season. He also managed to make four catches for 56 yards.
Schmidt was an integral part of Colman-Egan both offensive and defensively. Schmidt was one of the Hawks leading tacklers and also was third on the team in rushing with 287 yards and three touchdowns.
Berg, who was awarded All-Conference Honorable Mention, was able to use his senior season as a way to show off his skills as a receiver. Berg collected 38 catches for 518 yards and three touchdowns. He had 33 more receptions than any other Hawk in 2012.
On the volleyball side, Colman-Egan was represented on the First Team by junior, Tori Nelson and the Honorable Mention list by senior, Mandy Entringer.
Nelson was Colman-Egan’s leader on offense, something she will look to continue into here senior season in 2013.
Entringer, who plays the Libero position, was a vital part of the Hawk defense. Entringer wrapped up her volleyball career at Colman-Egan as one of the most consistent defenders the team has had in recent history.
The four seniors on this list have contributed to Colman-Egan athletics greatly over their tenure and will be hard to replace. Nelson will look to continue that representation next year for her senior year.
