Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership (ICAP) is pleased to announce the Moody County Transit bus will resume monthly trips to Brookings and Sioux Falls, beginning in December.
The service, which had previously been cut due to budget restrictions, is returning due to new funding to ICAP’s transit program.
“We are excited to bring this service back to the residents of Flandreau,” said Arleen Weerheim, Deputy Director of ICAP, “and we think this will really be a great help for people to get the doctor and other appointments in Brookings and Sioux Falls”.
The December trip to Brookings will be on Wednesday, December 12 and the Sioux Falls trip will be on Wednesday, December 26. The cost of a round-trip is $6.
A minimum of three riders are needed for the bus to make the trip, unless a rider has a medical appointment scheduled.
The bus driver will begin picking up riders at 9 a.m. on the scheduled day and the return time will be dependent upon the participant’s choices.
