The Moody County Historical Society will add more festivity to the holiday season this year with a holiday event that is expected to fill the Moody County Museum with decorated Christmas trees.
The “Merry-Time Festival of Trees” will run from Dec. 1 through Dec. 22 and will feature artificial trees decorated by local organizations and businesses. Visitors are invited to see this extravaganza of trees during regular museum hours. Each tree will be decorated with ornaments or “goodies” appropriate to the sponsor.
“Creativity and imagination are the watchwords for the organizations trimming the artificial tree,” said Dale Johnson, Museum Director. “Each sponsor will choose a theme and adornments that express the uniqueness of their organization. The goal is to create a very special holiday tree that truly tells the organization’s story in a way that visitors will enjoy.”
For businesses or organizations interested in sponsoring a tree or any questions related to the event call the Museum at 997-3191 during Museum hours 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday – Friday or 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday.
