Aaron & Bridget Boysen
Aaron Boysen and Bridget Nock were united in marriage on September 14, 2013 in Seattle, Wash. at Queen Ann Lutheran Church.
They are the children of Ardene and Roxann Boysen and Roger and Ann Nock.
A reception was held at the Seattle Yacht Club. The bride earned a bachelorís degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio State University and is currently a liaison engineer for the Boeing Corporation in Seattle. Her groom earned a bachelorís degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Minnesota and is currently a 787 service engineer for the Boeing Corporation.
They currently reside in Lake Union, Wash.
Sylvan Vigness 90th birthday
Sylvan Vigness of Flandreau is celebrating his 90th birthday with an open house to be held Saturday, January 4 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 505 S. Wind St., Flandreau, from 2-4 p.m. His family will host the event. Greetings may also be sent to him at 808 W 2nd Ave., Flandreau, SD 57028.
Dakota State University held its annual new member induction ceremony for the freshman national honor society, Phi Eta Sigma. Brooke Relf of Flandreau, an Exercise Science major, was one of those inducted. Phi Eta Sigma is the oldest and largest freshman honor society with 365 chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States.† All first-year fulltime students at DSU who achieve a 3.5 or greater GPA during their first attendance period are eligible for membership.† The Society's mission is to encourage and reward academic excellence among freshmen in institutions of higher learning.
Bethany Ellefson, Trent, graduated from Northern State University, December 14, 2013, with honors. She completed majors in Biology Education and Environmental Science. Bethany will be teaching high school science 2nd semester at Colman-Egan school.
Bryan Ellefson, Trent, graduated from Rapid City School of Mines and Technology, December 21, 2013. He graduated with a Metallurgical Engineering degree and is currently employed as an Engineer with NuCor Steel in Norfolk, Neb.
