The Flandreau Flier volleyball team woill face Clark/Willow Lake on Tuesday October 15, which also has been titled “Dig Pink Night” to raise funds and awareness about Breast Cancer.
The Fundraising portion of the activities are as follows:
-Pledge Drive – the volleyball players have pledge forms for you to donate money based on their stats in the match that night. Since it is based on stats, the girls will give you a total and collect the money during the week following the match.
-Bucket Run - Right before the Varsity Match starts (around 6:45), one minute, twelve seconds will be put on the clock for the 12 people diagnosed with cancer in SD each day. Buckets will be passed through the crowds to collect as much money as possible in this time.
-Chuck a Duck – This will be done immediately following the JV match (around 6:30). Participants purchase a duck for a dollar. After the JV match, all of the participants chuck their ducks and the person closest to the target wins half of the money raised from the chuck a duck.
Anyone wearing pink to the match will get free popcorn from the concession stands while supplies last. Action starts at 5 p.m. with the JV team and the varsity match follows.
