The Moody County Historical Society will host the first Brown Bag Lunch program of the season on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 12:10 p.m. at the Moody County Museum.
Entitled “What do Shangri La, County Poor Farm, Ramsdell Implement Co, Hegre Lutheran Church, Dr. Hulett, Cherney Motors, Hampton Iowa, Studebaker, White River Recovery Center, Eide Implement, New Hampshire, Ekern Home Equipment and Scotland have in common?”, the program will explain how the museum works to answer the many inquiries that are received by the museum staff each year.
Many times finding the answer to one query will reveal the answer to another query. One example is how the request for information about a Duncan-Barron family reunion near Ward led to the discovery of photographs of the Moody County Poor Farm.
Plan to join us and see how the research can lead to some remarkable discoveries. Bring your own lunch and we will provide the coffee. For more information, contact Dale Johnson at the Museum at 997-3191.
