Kenneth Rahn received his 60 year Palm for his membership as a Brother of the Masonic fraternity at a ceremony held at the Riverview Health Services activity room on Sunday, Dec. 2. Brother Jeff Jung, Secretary of Brookings Chapter #24 gave the Masonic history of Brother Rahn stating his Master Mason degree was held in July of 1952. Brother Kenneth Rahn served as Worshipful Master of Flandreau Lodge #11 and held other offices in the lodge. The Flandreau Masons are affiliated with the Brookings Lodge. Worshipful Brother Jeff Clapper, District Master, made the proclamation on behalf of the Grand Lodge of South Dakota, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons.
Brother Rahnís son, Brother Kenny Rahn shown here on the left, did the pinning. Brother Kenneth Rahn and Brother Kenny Rahn then addressed the assembly of Brothers from the Madison and Brookings Lodges. Also in attendance were Kenneth Rahnís daughter-in-law Karen, his sister Doris Solem, and many friends. Refreshments and fellowship followed the ceremony.
