What’s Your Talent? Colman’s Looney Day wants to see it!!
There’s still time to register for the first Colman’s Got Talent coming to town on August 12 at 7 p.m. at the Colman-Egan gym. Participants need to call Paula Heinricy at 864-8909 now. Prizes will be awarded as follows: 1st place will receive a trophy and $50 Savings Bond; 2nd place will receive a $25 Wal-Mart Card and 3rd place will earn a $10 Buffalo Wild Wings Gift Card Shake off that Stage Fright and register--TODAY! The contest is open to anyone living within 20 miles from Colman.
Farmers Market open on Fridays
A Farmers Market is open every Friday in the parking lot of the West End Plaza from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Area producers have stands with items available for purchase. Anyone wishing to have a stand there should contact Lani Ramsdell at 997-3704. There is no charge for space but producers are asked to call so organizers can have an area blocked off.
Auditions for Oklahoma set for Aug. 9-10
Auditions for the musical Oklahoma will be held Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 9 and 10 at 7 p.m. at the Crystal Theatre. The show dates will be Oct. 7-8-9-10 at the Crystal Theatre in Flandreau. There are several parts available for children to adults and musicians are needed for the orchestra. See ad on page 4 or contact director Dan Sutton at 864-1477 for more information.
Park Days set Aug. 7-8
The Flandreau Park Improvement Board wants to remind everyone that the annual Riverside Park Days will be held August 7-8 this year. For booth information contact Debbie Feske at 997-3574.
Weight Watchers’ meeting
Weight Watchers has started a group in Flandreau and meetings are held every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church located at 505 S. Wind St. Weigh-ins begin at 5 p.m.. Weigh-ins will begin at 5 p.m. with the meeting to follow. For more information, contact Laura Peters at 997-2272.
