Employees of the Flandreau Branch of The First National Bank in Sioux Falls are proud to announce their new community service project…GO GREEN, GO TO THE LIBRARY!
The branch will be conducting a book drive during the month of February to collect books for the Moody County Resource Center.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle… Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without…These are by no means new concepts.
The latest slogan for conservation is to GO GREEN. The public library has been using all of these practices since its inception! The entire concept of having a public library is to SHARE…knowledge and books.
The Flandreau Branch will be accepting donations of “gently used” books for the Moody County Resource Center, during the month of February; books appropriate for any age, hardcover or paperback. The books will be donated to the Resource Center at the beginning of March.
Any books not needed by the library (duplicates, unsuitable, etc.) will be sold at their book sale to be held later in March and the money from sales will be used to purchase new books for the library.
The First National Bank in Sioux Falls has been in existence for over 100 years. Conservation is not a new practice with the bank or its employees.
The bank conserve and recycle paper on a daily basis. Employees use recyclable shopping bags, reusable water bottles, as well as many other conservation methods in their daily lives.
The Flandreau Branch employees are offering the community a way to clean out their bookshelves and closets that will benefit our public library. The library will receive many new books as well as funds to purchase additional books for the public.
The First National Bank encourages members of the community to bring their “gently used” books to the bank lobby and to GO GREEN, GO TO THE LIBRARY!
