This summer Naomi Powers, the 16-year-old granddaughter of Marilyn Powers, will participate in a two-week summer program for superior instrumentalists between the ages of 14 and 17.
The program, NYO2, is an extension of Carnegie Hall's National Youth Orchestra-USA, which is a similar program for musicians aged 16 to 19.
