SDSU sophomore sprinter Gina Fritz, who graduated from Colman-Egan in 2011, along with her 1600-Meter medley relay team broke the South Dakota State University record in that event by three seconds.

Fritz, along with Megan Bren, a senior from Sioux Falls, Carly Carper, a freshman from Rutland, and Krista Creager, a senior from Yankton ran a 4:01.43 at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, beating the previous record set in 2008.

Fritz lead off by running the teamís opening 200 meters followed by Carper who took the second 200 meter leg before Bren took the baton for the 400 and Creager anchored the race in the 800.

The Jacks have just two more meets before heading to Indianapolis for the conference championships.
