The Colman A's amateur baseball team split a pair of games this past week, losing 4-1 on Wednesday to Garretson before defeating Humboldt-Hartford on Sunday 4-3.

Garretson got on the board early on Wednesday scoring two runs (one unearned) off A's starting pitcher Derek Entringer in the second inning to take the early lead.

The Flandreau Cardinals amateur baseball team got their season underway Sunday evening with a 6-2 victory over Dell Rapids PBR in Flandreau.
The Cardinals were carried by a great overall pitching performance from three Cardinal hurlers. Luke Gassman got things started, pitching three shutout innings, allowing just one hit and striking out one.
