Hawks earn 9th at State B golf meet

Colman-Egan placed ninth in the Class B State Boys' Golf Tournament at Fox Run in Yankton.
The meet was held May 18-19.
The Hawks shot 285 Monday and 271 Tuesday for a 556 total.

Elkton-Lake Benton and Bridgewater-Emery collected Region 4B team hardware as the Lady Elks took the girls' title with 136 points while the Huskies tallied 129.5 points for the top spot in the boys' chase. The meet was held May 21 at Elkton.

Ullom/Clark pair up for doubles title

Teams from Flandreau excelled in the South Dakota United States Bowling Congress' Open Bowling Tourney held in Sioux Falls over several weekends.
In the Men's Doubles Handicap B division (360 and under), Tim Ullom and Bobby Clark were the overall 1st place winners bowling a 1,478 which was 77 pins better than another

Deon Entringer tossed a two-hitter and also led Colman at the plate as the A's beat Madison 4-1 in an amateur baseball game Wednesday, May 20.
Entringer struck out 12 batters, walked three and did not allow an earned run. He went 3-for-4 as the team's leadoff hitter.
