Flier girls second in Region Cross Country meet

SALEM, The West Central boys and Garretson girls won team titles at the Region 2A Cross Country Meet on Thursday.
The Flandreau girls finished second to advance to state.
The state meet is Saturday, Oct. 22, at Broadland Creek in Huron. The Class A girls race at noon and the boys begin at 1:30 p.m.

FLANDREAU, Dawson Blum caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Dylan Rice and the Flier defense had a big game during a 9-7 win over Beresford on Friday night.
Blum intercepted a pass and returned it deep into Watchdog territory to set up the touchdown, which made it 6-0 in the first quarter.
