Fliers third at BEC tourney; three champs

ARLINGTON, McCook Central/Montrose won the Big East/Lake Central Conference Wrestling Tournament by scoring 180 points as the Fighting Cougars finished with three champions and 11 place winners.
Clark/Willow Lake placed second with 107 points and Flandreau finished third with 101.5, to edge Howard (101). Kingsbury County was eighth with 38 points while Sioux Valley placed ninth with 36.

Boys win, girls lose against Arlington

COLMAN, The Hawks have Arlington's number as they knocked off the Cardinals for the third time this season, 61-49, on Thursday night in Dakota Valley Conference action.

CLEAR LAKE, The Fliers posted a 2-0 record at Thursday's Deuel Triangular, which was postponed from Tuesday.
The Fliers defeated the host Cardinals, 48-21, before rallying for a 42-33 victory over Howard.
Flandreau competes in the Big East/Lake Central Conference Tournament on Saturday in Arlington. Competition starts at 10 a.m.
