The Boys & Girls Club of Moody County will be breaking ground on their new permanent home next week. Everyone is invited to celebrate with the club members at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19th in the lot southwest of the Bill Janklow Community Center.
Since its inception in 2007, the Boys & Girls Club of Moody County has bounced among five different locations within Flandreau, never truly having a place of its own in which to operate within the community.
Due to the funds raised over the past few years, the Club is able to begin work on its new and permanent home. The need for a new facility has never been more pronounced, as membership continues to grow at Boys & Girls Club of Moody County, which now serves around 200 youth of Flandreau and surrounding communities.
The celebration will consist of a short program and celebration, as well as an official ground-breaking ceremony with Club Leaders, Board Members, community leaders and major donors who made this endeavor possible. Refreshments will be provided.
