Friday I-29 crash is fatal

A Sioux Falls woman died in a two vehicle crash on I-29 south of Brookings this past Friday night.
Colman Fire Chief Jason Landis said that 41-year-old Stephanie Shields had been heading south on I-29 when for reasons unknown, she did a u-turn on the highway and began heading north in the southbound lanes.

Move your Signs

It is an issue that has plagued Flandreau City Officials for years, encroachment violations in the State right-of-way for Highway 32. It was back in 2010 that State Department of Transportation officials met with city officials to identify signs, buildings, shrubs, fences, post office boxes, etc. that appeared in violation.
