Morey takes over Flandreau’s vacant position

The search for a new Police Chief in the City of Flandreau has officially come to an end with the hiring of James "Jim" Morey. The announcement came at last Monday's city council meeting, filling the spot left vacant after the resignation of former Police Chief Mike Eisenbarth in February.

Replacement Bell Tower in the works

The Second Presbyterian Church of Flandreau is undergoing a major project this month with the rebuilding and replacement of its bell tower. Church members had the old Bell Tower torn down after it had shifted during the windstorm in July of 2011. City Council elects President, Vice President

It is that time of the year again for the Flandreau City Council where they are mandated to elect a new Council President and Vice President. Commission hears proposed changes to Zoning Ordinances

The Moody County board of Commissioner met in regular session last Tuesday morning with a full docket in front of them.
One of the most important hearings was from Todd Kays of First District, who had read through and offered changes to the Moody County Zoning Ordinance.
