Votes to obtain judgement for ‘nuisance’ property

The August 15 Flandreau city council meeting was rescheduled to August 16 following their budget meeting after too few council members were present to call the meeting to action on Monday night.
Council members discussed a partially destroyed residence within Flandreau City Park, which is burned, boarded up and has a destroyed roofline.

Commissioners approve Colman area bridge repair

Moody County commissioners met with several people at their meeting on Tuesday, August 16.
Brenda Duncan, current Director of Equalization, requested that Kendra Eng, deputy of planning and zoning, receive a raise effective October 1 after completing her school and passing her CAA exam.
Duncan also requested to adjust her budget for next year

Council moves forward with curb and gutter project

City council members discussed the addition of curb and gutter to the street project along First Avenue at their meeting on Tuesday night.
The main dialogue centered around the bid amounts for each item of the project from the overall low bidder, Carstensen Contracting out of Pipestone.
